Hiya, I’m Michael & I’m a curly hair specialist in San Diego providing a safe, private salon environment for curly folks.
As a lifelong learner in love with all curls, coils, bends, wiggles & waves, my education includes Rezo Cut, Vidal Sassoon, Curly Hair Daze & Deva along with many other curly educators.
I love to cut easy, low maintenance styles & to play with all sorts of clean beauty lines that are natural & free of synthetic fragrance. My priority is to care for you & the health of the planet. My preferred goodies at this time are Innersense Organic Beauty & Hairstory.
My intention is to provide you a unique & personal experience within my individual salon suite. I do not double book clients (unless requested). Your time is important to me & the vibe can be whatever you want or need that day.
A Silent Appointment or a Minimal Touch Appointment is always available to you. Just add it in your appointment notes when booking.
Tips for scheduling:
The schedule is open continually, 60 days out in advance.
Please choose the first availability that works for your schedule. You can then add yourself to the waitlist as well & will be notified if there’s a sooner opening. You are welcome to have an appointment & be on the waitlist at the same time. If you do not see an opening, please add yourself to the waitlist & /or check back for availability. Every day, a new day, 60 days out, is available.

Do you have experience with curly cuts, have a solid curly routine & are an expert at styling your curls?

If you do not have a solid styling routine, please book the Full Curly Experience since this service does not include a curly lesson.

A Curly Cut with Wash & Style - Extra
Are your curls extra long &/or extra thick? IYKYK…we will need the extra time.
Curly cut, detox, cleanse, deep condition, curly styling: approx 2.5 hours
Women/Men/Kids Ages 9 years & up.
If you do not have a solid styling routine, please book the Full Curly Experience since this service does not include a curly lesson.

A Curly Express Cut
This is a dry cut only. It’s best for clients who have had a curly cut before, whether from me or another curly stylist. It’s also good for those curlies who finger coil or wear a twist out.
Please reach out before booking if you are unsure if this appointment meets your needs.
Dry curly cut, light refresh only if time permits: 1 hour
Women/Men/Kids Ages 9 years & up.

Extras

Harmonic Oil Treatment $20
Gently loosens stubborn flakes & soothes a tight, dry scalp with a balanced blend of flower essences & oils.
Scalp Scrub Exfoliation $20
A pre-cleanse exfoliation treatment to gently remove impurities, hydrate the scalp, soothe inflammation & stimulate blood flow.
Detox Hair Mask - included in all wash/style appts
Clarifying shampoos are played out & can be too harsh. This pre-wash treatment gently removes hard water or product buildup without stripping hair or scalp of natural oils.
Silent Appointment or Minimal Touch Appointment
After our initial consultation, talking or touch will be kept to a minimum. Please let me know before we start your session or add your preference in the Appointment Notes.
