As someone who grew up with straight hair, I never thought my niche would be as a curly stylist. Over the years, my hair changed from being smooth to having a lot of frizz that was easily blown out, but it wasn’t cute just worn as is.
All through my years as a stylist, my emphasis has always been to embrace & encourage what your hair wants to do naturally instead of fighting or burning it into submission. I had an opportunity to join a curly salon in 2019 to learn everything about the art of curls & enthusiastically jumped at the chance. The more I worked with natural textures & learned about my own loose waves, the more it was all I wanted to do. I was hooked & loved it so much that I made it my specialty.
So, if your hair bends, wiggles, waves, curls or coils, I’m here to help you understand & work with your unique texture, to give you an amazing cut & teach you styling techniques to bring out the best in your hair.
Focusing first, on clean products & healthy, hydrated hair, I love to blend together intuition, creativity & knowledge gleaned from several curly certifications to empower all textures to celebrate their own hairs’ uniqueness.
When I’m not in the salon, you’ll likely find me out exploring San Diego, LA & SoCal in general with my hubby, seeing live music, hiking, cycling, working out, watching movies & reading.
